What is the difference between “Impregnation” and “Coating” type of VCI paper?
“Impregnation” type basically refers to the corrosion inhibitor being soak or infuse into the base paper. “Coating” type refers to the corrosion inhibitor being coated directly onto the base paper. “Coating” type of VCI paper has a longer effective period. However, due to this coating process, the white inhibitor (powder) may have some adverse effect on the metal products.
