How is the thickness of steel sheet specified?
The steel sheet, as per its name, is basically a plate made from steel. They have different names to cater to different thickness of the metal sheet.
- Thickness over 150mm: Ultra Thick Plate. (Used for building marine vessels)
- Thickness between 6 ~ 150mm: Thick Plate.
- Thickness between 3 ~ 3mm: Intermediate Plate
- Thickness Less than 3mm: Thin Plate
